Information we process

• Search information: the street address you submit and the resulting public property information.
• Account and session information: the main Perimtr platform processes your account details and session cookie. Heritage receives only the session information needed to confirm that you are signed in.
• Cached report information: normalized addresses and public-source results may be stored to make repeat searches faster and more reliable.
• Technical information: the hosting service may create ordinary security and diagnostic logs, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, date, and time.

Avoid entering a person’s name, contact details, financial information, private documents, or other sensitive information into the address field.

Why we use it

We process this information to resolve an address, create and return the requested report, cache public results, protect and troubleshoot the service, and understand basic service reliability. The current version does not use address searches for advertising or sell them as personal information.

User-generated address reports are marked for search engines not to index. That instruction supports privacy but does not replace account-based access control.

Sources and service providers

Reports use public City of Toronto information and may link to external City services. Infrastructure providers may process technical data on Perimtr’s behalf to host and secure the service. External sites have their own privacy practices, which you should review before using them.

Retention and safeguards

Cached public property results may be retained until refreshed or removed. Technical logs are retained according to the hosting provider’s operational settings. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy choices

You may choose not to submit an address. Depending on applicable law, you may ask about personal information associated with you, request access or correction, or raise a concern about how it is handled. During the private pilot, privacy questions can be sent to hello@perimtr.ca.

Before wider release

Perimtr must publish a monitored privacy contact and confirm the production host’s log retention, storage location, cookies, analytics, and subprocessors. This notice should be updated whenever uploads, payments, analytics, or other personal-information features are introduced, and whenever the shared sign-in or report-retention model changes.
